Sportank is an upcoming sports media site/app, launching soon with the goal to both aid people in the running of a sports club as well as provide a platform for athletes to capture their performances.
I was tasked with providing a sleek, sport influenced logotype with an 'S' that also works well as an app logo or favicon.
 Idea exploration -
For this logo I wanted to represent the sport aspect of the company. I used various different techniques to do so, from arrows and lines giving a kinetic feel to the logo, to actually putting a court into the 'S'. I also looked at baseball/college sports logos and simpler, billboard like approaches.
Colour palette exploration -
As with previous start-up companies, I was also tasked with coming up with a selective colour palette for the new brand. In this case the client instructed me that they would like to see green and orange based palettes in particular, amongst others I chose to come up with. In the end we chose a tonal green palette, using a minty green and turf coloured green together, with a warm grey as a tertiary colour.
A crowd-pleasing brand pack
As with previous projects, I also supplied the client with a short brand pack, introducing the logo, laying out different variations of the logo and their uses, brand typography and the full breakdowns for the new colour palette.
